Hey there Group 6.
How is your coaching going at your school?
How did your "sell job" go with your boss and staff?
Have you started any coaching conversations?
Have you had any epiphanies since leaving the Mercure on Wednesday afternoon?
I look forward to seeing you all again as a group soon. I will bring some green clinkers.
cheers,
Sophie

Hi Everyone,
My coaching got off to a great start with the principal but the last week or so has been BLAH trying to get time with the coachees.
We have all been really busy as I am sure you are too.
Will update when I have news.
Suzanne

Hi Ladies,
I am not sure that this is the correct place to share, but I didn't know where else to go.??????
My coaching as stated above, started really well but hit a few hurdles a few weeks in. Towards the end of term I had my first official conversations with my 2 coaachees. They are both beginning teachers. One has been teaching for 3 years and the other for about 4 weeks. One wants to focus on programming and the other is open to anything that helps. I wasn't sure what Lena meant by develop a toolkit because the people are so very different and what we are doing is so very different but the more I think about it I understand that I need really explicit questions, so I have printed out the questions that Lena sent us in large text to put on my wall for next term. This is cheating, but the idea is to keep me focussed. One of the coachees is very complex and I need to stay on task. I also hope that this will help me in my general work with other teachers, so that is one for the toolkit. The other thing that I have just done (VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING ON MY HOLIDAYS) is devise a peer coaching conversations proforma that I think will work for my context. If it proves to be useful I will happily share. I've also spent some time looking at the resources that have been provided here. I've added these to the toolkit. What are you other clever people doing?
